I have two pods located in Kilry, Angus that offer a great season round glamping experience. They are a fantastic romantic little getaway, it is a base to explore the local Glens. The only sounds you’ll hear at night are the owls and the odd cow or sheep.
Both pods have a double bed and a camp bed. They are en-suite with a small kitchen, complete with electric hob, microwave, toaster, pots, and utensils. Bedding and towels are provided, as are the basics of tea and coffee, washing up stuff and loo roll.
There are plenty of walks from the pods or a short drive away. I am located on the Cateran trail, and only 15 miles from Glen Shee. There are rivers, lochs, and reservoirs nearby if you like paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing. There are local companies who can such trips.
I am within 9 miles of Blairgowrie. Also, a great spot for biking, with and without an engine. This area has lots of golf courses too. There are local wildlife hides if you are keen to photograph or simply watch the wildlife. Here you could see brown hares, Red Kites, Buzzards, deer. There are Ospreys nearby too. Local guides can take you to show you red squirrels, pine marten, otters and beavers, also snow hares too. Or just simply come, open a bottle of wine and light the campfire, or cosy up for the night.
I feel very lucky to be able to live in this beautiful spot, and it’s a pleasure to be able to share it with my pod guests. Dogs are welcome, but there is a surcharge. I look forward to welcoming you to Kilry Eco Pods.
